Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral?

  • No referral is required to see our Physiotherapists.

Will my appointment be covered by Private Health Insurance?

  • Appointments are covered by private health insurance depending on your level of ancillary cover.  Private health fund rebates are available direct at the time of payment with your health fund card and may cover up to 80% of the consultation fee. It is best to contact your insurer directly to determine what your rebate will be for a physiotherapy service. Initial consultation is a code 500, Subsequent (30 min) is a code 505.

Does Medicare cover Physiotherapy treatments?

  • Some clients may be able to access Medicare funded physiotherapy. The Medicare allied health initiative allows chronically ill people who are being managed by their general practitioner (GP) under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan access Medicare rebates for allied health services. Through the CDM program, you may be able to gain access to Medicare rebates for up to five allied health services per year.  Speak to your GP about whether you are eligible to access Medicare funded physiotherapy. The full consultation fee is expected to be paid on the day of service and we are able to process a rebate from Medicare for you, which is a portion of the fee.  Unfortunately this clinic does not bulk-bill.

Do you see worker's compensation or motor vehicle accident clients?

  • We have dedicated Physiotherapists who will treat worker's compensation and motor vehicle accident clients. A Referral letter, including claim number, must be presented at clinic prior to treatment.

How long are the appointments?

  • Initial consultations are one hour long, in order for our Physiotherapist to provide a fully comprehensive examination and treatment. Our Physiotherapists take the time and care to listen to our clients and identify the underlying contributing factors associated with your injury. Subsequent visits are thirty minutes long, unless your Physiotherapist recommends a longer subsequent treatment.

Where can I park?

  • There are many car parks available around the CBD area, however the Wilson Car Park (entry via North Tce) is the closest. The elevator brings you directly into Charles St Plaza. Clients parking in Wilson Car Park can claim a discount if parking for less than 2 hours. Ask our reception to validate your parking ticket before leaving.
